Urban Myths and Legends

Hello! I don't know how many of you enjoy reading about various urban legends, but I really have a fun time learning about our word of mouth tales and whether or not they are true. I stumbled across www.snopes.com one day and had a great time looking through all their information. So tell me, what is you favorite urban legend or myth? I think you have to love the one about the man with a hook for an arm that stalks the two teenaged lovers on a quiet country road. How about you?

I never get bored with Snopes.com! I'm occasionally suprised to find and urban legend that I had always beleived to be true, and occasionally even more suprised to find that one I hadn't believed really *is* true! The site has made one major skeptic out of me, that's for certain.

OH yeah, snopes is a great site. Everytime I get any email, even if I know there is no way it could possibly be true I go check it out at snopes. Then I make sure that I send an email back to the people who sent my the first email with a link to the page in snopes so they can see for themselves that it is false.
I wish people would take the time to look at a site like snopes before passing on emails, expecially the ones where it is painful obvious that they are false. Oh well.
In fact, I think I will go to snopes now and see what the news false email going around is. Thanks!
