Hey I am a Sachin Tendulkar n i think that he should retire from the team at the height of his carreer, when he has the respect and awe of all the cricketing fraternity and the world......I think its better than been thrown out or dropped because you had an argument with the management of do not turn tons after tons in every match??????
Come on guys what do u think ...... Hey and i would like you guys to know that i love him as you all do so no hard feelings.....

No sachin should not retire from Cricket now. he has much cricket in him . he should make records which no one should break it in future in any time. he is the best batsmen in this world. I think he should play 2011 world cup also. lara is playing at his 37 years. in similar sachin should play till he think he is fit.

well i also don't beleive that sachin should retire .........well if u r comparing with shane ...macgrath the australian players who have retired recently and u have read the article in newspapers that a player should retire when he is at peak .......is not true for every player well when u play for country than u play for it not for u'rself ...if u take indian condition than u know that how much sachin is important for indian team.....and if talk about australian they have got lot in arsenal apart from the legends that have retired.........so now u know better..

While his retirement talk is debatable, one is for sure. He must be given a pep talk from BCCI or the coach on his performance in the just concluded SA tour. He has not come to the team's rescue in quite a long time, and that doesn't auger well for the team. He must realize that people struggle for a place in the Indian team and that no one can be guaranteed a place in the side just because he has a good record.

Sachin is only 33 now, and lots of cricket is left with him. Scoring seventy odd international century is not the task of an ordinary cricket player, so, he is a genius.
And let the genius decide what he wants to do with his career. I think Tendulkar will not play a single game if he thinks he is not fit for playing cricket anymore.
It is sad to see such discussions are floated nowadays. People can make remarks like "dropping" or "throwing out" a man whose contribution towards the game of cricket, as well as towards Indian cricket is immeasurable. Even some former Indian Cricketers point out to his retirement. This is such unfortunate situation for a man whose contribution to Indian Cricket seems to be endless.
Not only that Sachin is the best batsman in the world, he is a great mentor from whom the youngsters like Sehwah, Jaffar, Yubraj have to learn a lot.
Presence of Sachin presses the panic button of the opponent and when Sachin hits a ball to cross boundary line, it looks batting so simple.
Anyway, there are good and bad times in a cricketer's life cycle. We have seen former Cricket mestro like great Gavaskar to score series of zeros in subsequent matches, and, when we talk about Sachin's form, he scores atleast something even when he is in his worst form.
So, Sachin is our strong point and a gift of Cricket God for this Cricket-crazy nation.
If he can continue, we expect to see him atleast till 2011 WC, by that time he will be 37.

yes i would like him to retire in style but its still not the time now a days he starts and look set for a big scores but gets out after doing all the hard work i think there is lot of cricket left in him
may be he should retire after the world cup since he has the ability to bounce back in form in the wold cup

Nopes... no ways. He is still our best batsman with the greatest technique. Even a 90% fit Sachin is better than most current indian bastmen. With Rahul Dravid going through such a bad phase in his career... the retirement of Sachin Tendulkar from international cricket will further slide the progress of the indian Cricket team.
Sachin Tendulkar should only retire from international cricket if india wins the ICC Cricket World Cup 2007 in the West Indies and Sachin is named 'Player of the Tournament'

Eventhough Im not india, I still think he is great batsman. I like him alot. He is still fit. In my opinion, he can still play for another 4 or 5 years. He must be in team there because he is an old bird. He can help the other youngsters. Indian team is not doing well these days. It needs players like Sachin.

well persoanlly i think Sachins still gto few good yrs left in him..n m sure hw ll retire on his own wid dignity rather than hang on till hes ripped off the team..also i suppose he need to score few more centuries n make it harder for the Punter[ricky pontin ], n other to catch up him in century makin....hes one of the all time greatest if not THE greatest.

this was the question that rose in my mind also...after watching sachin's perforamance in the the 2 innings of the last test match....its not that he is done....but u know instead of forcing himself....that would be really better....doubts r rising whether he is the amster blaster sachin...who worried shane in his dreams.....!kya hua sachin...kuch karo na......des aur fans ke liye...!

I think Sachin Tendulkar should retire with respect n elegance , but that should be after three or four years. He still has in him what it takes to be a champion cricketer.and with his illustrious carrier , he would get the respect that he deserves irrespective of when he retires...
