No, its not in the US, you just have to have a liscense.

For one's food, you can kill animal and it is acceptable. Nothing in the world is great than a human beings. So, enjoy your food with animal meat but, it should be domestic animals not wild.

I don't mean to post and offend anyone but I don't believe in hunting animals .I am a die hard animal fan and I believe that hunting simply for sport is wrong. If you plan to hunt to eat the animal then I am ok with that but just to do it is wrong.
