I think that day's are gone. Now my country providing good oppurtunities in all sector. Not only the western MNC's are providing good offer but our Indian MNC's are also giving good oppurtunities.
Now people are return back to India, because the living cost is too high in abroad in comparision to India.Indegenous company like satyam, Infosys, HCL are payiing well.

I think it all depends on which country you are in. In the old days, the Irish used to have to immigrate to look for jobs because there were none. Today, Ireland has to import labour from the UK. As you've pointed out, Indians used to go overseas because menial jobs elsewhere often paid better than professional jobs in India. Yet, today, India is attracting people. The Philippines is another exporter of labour, which helps keep the economy running.
I think many of us see people going overseas as a loss to their country. However, as the example of India and Ireland have shown, an overseas diaspora can be an asset, particularly when it allows you to develop links with other countries, which also means other markets.
We now live in a day and age when people usually travel to another country at one stage or another in their career. This is part of the global market place and those who prosper in the global market place are the people who are willing to engage in the global market. In a way, I'm greatful for this. If more and more people go overseas to work, they discover other cultures, which in turn helps create greater understanding.

it depends on the employment situation and regulations
I have heard people going abroad to earn money and some of them ended up being abused by the employer for whatever purpose and there is no regulation that keeps them safe enough for this not to happen again
the sad thing is not all of these victims are illegal, some of them actually went in with proper documents
now I do not see how earning money abroad is the same things as exchanging your family for money, after all it's for the sake of their family they left their country in the beginning
but before going to certain country, they will first have to know the risks and maybe they should avoid going to certain countries if they already heard how immigrants are treated there. for sure entering legally is better, although it doesn't guarantee safe employment, at least you have your government on your side when things go wrong

I guess if that's what it takes to better my families life then I would do it. There are times I would love to find something else to do to help out my family more but nothing pays good enough anymore.
It would be hard to leave my family behind to help them. I know my husband would probably do the same thing but still would be hard.

Going abroad to search for a good fate is not equivalent to choosing money over your family. I am a nurse for 7 years working here in the Philippines and the eldest among the four children of my late parents. The mere fact that we do not have our parents enough makes our family be situated like a doomsday in loneliness if ever I will fly abroad and work for a living. But, truth is, I do not choose money over them! In a month or weeks I destined to go in the US with a secured employment. It saddens me to go and leave them because I am the only one left they look forward to but the situation that is happening right now in our dear Homeland is far beyond tolerable. You know, I just cannot live with everyday looking at my siblings get starved and when things go wrong I do not even have a cent to pick from my pocket. So, the thing is, it is not that I get tired of being a patriotic or something. I have served for the passed seven years to our corrupted Homeland. Probably, it is time for me to go and follow the fate I led my path. I need to work not for my self but for my family, for a better, decent and sufficed living.

well for me how can you feed your family if your income is not enough to feed them? you would rather go abroad for them to live a better life ..because the concept of going abroad is earning a lot of money..so that is not the meaning of exchanging your family for money...
