starting your own website

can u tell me which type of web site u r going to creat.. r u a web designer...

Take a sheet of paper and answer the following questions: 1. What do you think you are very good at? e.g maths, bungee jumping, catching frogs etc 2. What do your friends and family think you are good at? Ask them if you don't know! 3. If you are good at something, is it because you are lucky or is it because you have some special knowledge or skills about those things? What are those special things... 4. Can you write down in simple language about those special things? 5. If you can, then do it on this sheet of paper! Combine the answers to the four questions and you have your first page ready. Your links from the first page will lead to answers for the fifth question. Basic rule in creating web pages is to tell/show people things which they want to hear/see and from and which they can benefit/feel good.

Depends on why you are starting the site. Do you want to earn money from it? Do you have your own domain and hosting account? Do you have something to sell or promote? Is it just a personal site? (all about me... sort of thing.)

Can you be a little bit descriptive quoniq? What's you website for? Your target readers? From there we can comment on what ideas to suggest. I made a website too and primarily it is a health information website I made for my students to have a reliable source of health informations. I've put much effort in making this site and it paid off (not monetarily though hehe) but the fulfillment of finishing the site is great! You could start with what you like the most, your interests maybe or about your profession. Are you going to make this site for commercial use or personal? Good Luck Buddy!! I think if you try to create your own website I think you should started with blog and the learn about HTML. Maybe you already know about this. About your home page I think your home pages should have interesting picture or whatever thing that interested and the interesting 'keyword'. All of these are important for me. But I dont know what do you think. However try to create it by your own creatitity.
