I came across two people who are using abusive and insulting language on myLot. What about u guys? Also they say my English is difficult to understand. May be cos I am an Asian and English is not my mother tongue. How do you handle this.

Have you reported these people you find offensive to mylot? You have to realize though that things that are offensive in your culture may not be offensive in others. The guidelines of mylot specifically state that no one is allowed to belittle someone for their lack of English ability. However, I feel that your English is just fine. I'd hate to think about trying to write in another language than my own.

I am finding no trouble at all understanding your English sherinek, so don't worry about that side of things. Unfortunately there are some people who are just ignorant and abusive but unless the abuse is directed at you personally try to ignore their comments. If it is directed at you, then you always have the option to reporting them to myLot, who take such matters very seriously. In the meantime, just keep starting discussions, responding to those started by other members and have some fun. :)

Nothing wrong with your English -- as has been noted your English is above average here -- better even than sone of the native speakers. If the abuse is directed directly at you - report it. I see nothing wrong with adding the odd expletive for emphasis, as long as it's not personal.

Well I guess people are just expressing themselves the way they would speak when having conversations, some of them are ignorant and there is nothing anyone can do about it. Alot of people don't take the time out to seek education or knowledge and they think they now everything.I think the best thing to do is to ignore them and go about your business. At least that's what I do.

the best way to deal with them is to ignore them. We should curb people's right to speaking or posting anything they like.

Don't pay any attention to them..most people on here are nice and understand that not everyone has English as a first language. Regardless of where you go, there will always be a few jerks....even on mylot..don't let them speak for the rest of us!
