why you want to track people who are in invisible mode at yahoo messenger?..if they are invisible, it only means they don't want to be bothered..respect their privacy..i know one way though that can really tell whether they are just in the invisible mode..send them a message..if they respond, then it means they are online and just in the invisible mode..LOL!!.. :p

i think i have an easy way to find out invisible users... if u have a mobile then sign into it(that is, select the 'sign into mobile' option in the yahoo messenger) when u sign out of the yahoo mesenger in your comp (it does sign out automatically though)..
now u will receive a message in ur mobile showing which of ur friends r online at that moment.. i have found out that it shows even invisible users .. but i am not sure whether it works perfectly.. anyhow try it

I didn't know if you wanted the reason's, or just the answer... so I'll do a little of both.
As you may know Jay, yahoo had patched (fixed or removed) some of its features, like java chat, chat2 and using the /goto feature to follow a particular user in a room.
They also had redesigned the packets (which is information sent to yahoo asking a question and yahoo responding back with an answer). So for awhile many of the "Online Checkers" didn't work, and wouldn't even log in.
However, with as stubborn as people are, it's only a matter of time before someone figures it all out.
As of today, there are probably 20-30 good programs out there that will check online status. I know if you search what ever engin you use for "online Checkers" you will find a bunch of them.
Just make sure when you download one that it is only a month old. Anything older then that, is not going to work.
Good luck
P.s. I know a lot of people have a problem with this type of program. But my philosophy is if you don't want to talk to someone, then don't reply. If they start giving you a hard time about it, then you say, very politely "Excuse me, but if I was available to chat with you, then I would have answered you, but at the moment I'm in the middle of something. Thank you.
I think people are just too afraid to be up front with someone who is being a pain in the butt to them.
