How to tackle a Small Kid ?

I have a child who is just 2.5 years old. He is very sweet and cute. But the thing is he is the only kid in our family of 6 members so naturally we all pemper him somewht and try to make him happy everytime. Now he is growing and I want to make him disciplined. But he is too small if I explain him everything. I try to explain him as much as I can do but he doesnt listen, then I loose temper and beat him sometimes(not very hard) but I dont like that. I want my kid to listen to me and be disciplined. Really, confused how to handle him tactfully.

Allow your son to grow freely upto five years without trying to control him. After 5 years you can stop pampering him and tune him up as per your wishes.

yes, but by that time he will become so rigid. I m afraid of that.

Fifth year is the year of transformation. He will bloom into a fragrant flower. He should not have mental blocks or bitter memories to bloom.

Hey........try to leave him @ his style...But be carefull yu have not to entertain everthin...yu have to put limits..I dont like Beating up small children...think bak @ yur child hood days..yu too have behaved de same..
