It's said that we only utilize a small portion of our brain potential. Do you have any favorite "activities" to help keep you "sharp" & clear minded? I enjoy Sudoki, find the difference or find the item type pictures, non-violent video games, doing puzzles online and boxed, I am not very good with riddles (they give me headaches :) tooooo much thinking I quess. So what are your favorite mind/brain strengthing activities?

I really don't have any exercise. But, I do read a lot. And, sometimes my husband and I will play scrabble. That makes you think. Even MyLot is good, as we have to think of good responses and posts. That's exercise, right?

I agree totally, I am finding mylot to be very intellectually stimulating on so many levels. And scrabble is a great game, my husband and I like dominoes and he helps me along alot with my video games, he sits next to me and tells me what I should do next -- it doesn't really like to actually play, just likes to give advice. :)

CRYPTIC crosswords! Some people say you need a twisted mind to do cryptic crosswords, but I LOVE them. Does that mean I have a twisted mind?

I don't know, I've done some cryptic crosswords in my time, but I have found that the twist my already twisted mind and I just wind up with a knot of a brain :)

Yes I do many things to exercise my brain. I do puzzles, play games, read, learn new things on the computer and write. I am very hyper and must be doing something at all times to utilize my brain. There are days I make my brain hurt and just have to veg for a few hours. I think it is very important to keep the brain cells stimulated, so I plan to always do something mental.

well these are few best ways. try playing chess and doing some strategic problem solving that will also help. if you know some computer programming then there are hell like puzzles to solve using programs. try them.

You know, I play chess - but it must be the "little kid" in me I get so very upset after all my planning and thinking and I still lose (I know I'm just not real good at it) -- My mom and stepdad played chess faithfully each day for gosh I think almost 36 years. It has been eons, since I was programming, actually -- but you are certainly correct in their similarity to puzzles. Thanks, and best wishes :)

Yeah I am playing PC games to do that. if I am not on my PC, I just pull out my PDA and play those cute puzzle games and read an ebook or so
