snail steaks?

There are many kinds of snails. Some are edible and some are even poisonous. When I was a child, when it's rainy season, the rice paddies have water and the snails come out. We get them, they are edible, and we cook them and we eat them. Sometimes, we even eat them raw - those edible ones.

I confess I am very afraid of all insects and of snails!!!! I cannot imagine myslf eating such a thing...oh my God..it is disgusting the idea...but this is the fact..the idea is awful but I don't know how snakes would taste once they are well cooked....I mean..I ate very different kind of food while travelling because I like to taste local food and it might happen to me this... I could eat a snake without being informed during one of my journeys...but I hope not...anyway I do agree with the one who said that in some countries they are a very famous and loved food...world is big enough to have different food likes and dislikes..but please if you want me to come and have a bit with you, don't serve snakes to me...I don't like meat very much.I am very keen on vegetables!!!

hi,you may know in some countries snails eat as a main food....its fry i ate once in a remote village,some 10 years back..

o know thei are good for skin care, and i ahve eaten them in a japanese food restaurant, i think they where sea snails, or common snails, i didnt like it but i had to eat it coz it was expensive xD, well so i think yeh i have eaten snails, if you go a toa jap food restaurant you should try it, maybe you ll like it :P i know in japan they sell those big sea shell snail, once i saw an anime and made me want to eat some xD

Yeah, escargot are my favourite dish. Ze fact is I am zis Frenchman, you see. One mans meat is another mans poison. Obviously snails are your poison, but they are my meat. So no need to call them mal... It obviously takes all kinds to make this world, even non-snail eating kinds...
