Why does myLot allow credit for one of it's 'don'ts'?

If you look at the all-time top users, you find that they
consistently respond to every response they receive. I
checked the myLot user guides and clearly stated in the donts is "Thank everyone that responds or comments on your discussion. This will not increase your earnings". While it may not increase the earnings, it seems myLot encourages
this by giving credit. Why do they allow this and what do
you think?

I think organiclady is right. If you only say thank you for the response, you are not adding any thing to the discussion and it is wasting space and time. I respond to most all of the responses I get, but I comment on what they have said. I hate to reply and never get anything from the person that started the discussion. I do not get paid for this, but do thing it is a nice thing to do. it also keeps the topic current.

It has gotten better here on myLot in that regard. Usually the first thing I do now when I come here is the follow up to my last postings; and I'll comment back, ask a question etc. Thanks for your comments.
