Hello. I was wondering if anyone is in the St. Louis area and can suggest a good steakhouse. I've heard Ruth's Chris is very good and expensive, but how expensive. We don't mind paying $100-$125 for the 2 of us..but wouldn't want to pay much more. We love Porter's Steakhouse in Collinsville, IL. Any other ideas for good steakhouses? Anyone heard of the Tenderloin Room?

A fancy one near where i live it the Peter Luger. They serious charge you ALOT. A tomatoe when i last went to eat there cost $5. But then again it was red and juicy. If you don't mind spending $200-300 per visit this is for you.

Ruth's Chris is very good. I also suggest Citizen Kane's in Kirkwood, a close in suburb of St. Louis. Not fancy but outstanding steaks. The Tenderloin Room is also great. It is an old St. Louis favorite in central city. A bit more dressy than Citizen Kane's Also, you might want to look into The Charcoal House on Manchester Road in Rock Hill (another close in suburb).
My favorite though is the Texas Roadhouse. The steaks are as good, or better than all of the above at a fraction of the price. It is informal and very affordable. It is located at the intersection of Lindbergh Blvd. and Interstate 44.
