How In our lives wife can be classified as a good friend in need, presently?

Can we classify wife as a good friend. If so why most of the western countries facing problems in this matter. Lifelong relationships not continued as promise made at the marriage.
Same problem now slowly persists in India also. Where this problem going to be end.

lets be honest then shall we,,friends do not have to take your crap,,at some point yopu have to grovel to get the relationship back on track,,you have to appologise for your wrongs and mean it,(they always know) you cannot lie as they know this too,,,they often can demand much more respect than a wife as many people neglect their spouses as they would never do their friends,,if you want this kind of commitment and honesty from a spouse you have to treat them with the same care ans attention as you would a good friend,,then you will get the same returned,,someone who respects you,someone who doesnt feel the need to lie to you,someone who will not put up with the crap that some spouses give the other,,you can get a friend in your wife but you MUST earn it.love laughter and respect,,may not seem like much but it can make or break relationships
