I love meat, my child wants to be vegetarian...HELP!

I grew up eatting meat and potatoes with gravy over it all. I,m from a family that lived in the south. My 11 year old son really wants to be a vegetarian. He's really into not harming animals, the universe, enviroment or anything else. I really want to respect his desire to become a vegetarian but how do I fit that in with my love of meat. Does anybody any meal suggestions for someone that's trying to compromise with their kid on this subject.
