they have put up many partnerships gave india many good starts .....
the combination of left - right handed batsman won many matches .......
whom according to u is the best opening pair of indian team??

Well there can be many replies to this question. Acc to me
All-time best: Sunil Gavaskar and Sidhu
Best Stroke makers: Sachin and Ganguly
Presently best available: Ganguly and Sehwag

Though it is upto you to make your own choice, but I think not only India, but, any team in the world would love to see Sachin in the opening slot. He is the master blaster.

this would be the right choice at the moment when sehwag is not performing well enough according to his potentials. we should try out this pair in the world cup and see how they perform, they have a good chemistry beetween them and have loads of experience between them and i think that will be useful for india.

Sachin Tendulkar & Sourav Ganguly
points in favor:
both attacking
left and right combination
both long innings players
they have had a great record and also held the world record for the best opening partnership for a pretty long time. I don't know who broke their record though

Are you talking about the current Indian team, or the All Time Best opening pair.
In any case, I must agree with you that Ganguly and Tendulkar stand out to be the best opening pair India have ever seen in one day international cricket.
Odds in favor:
1. Both are stylish stroke player who are the best choice of gallary.
2. Both have good technique, Ganguly might have some trouble with the rising delivery, anyway, that has never stopped him from scorring 10,000 odd runs in One Day International.
3. Both of them can utilise the Power-Play overs in full swing.
4. Both of them have vast experience to take up any opponent in any condition.
Sehwag might be an alternative, but he appears to be little too tempted to make shots leading to some sort of uncertainity in the opening slot.
