My mom got me a free psychic reading at a local psychic. my mom and a few other people i know went to her already for a reading and say she is very good. Has anyone gone for a reading before and if so what can i expect?

I got a palm reading when I was 19.The scary thing about it is,everything up until year before last had come true.He said I'd only be married twice and be killed in a train crash. For years I had been wary of train crossings. Then in 2005 I married my wonderful 3rd husband.I figured if I could change one thing, then I would change the last.I feel much safer anyway.

No,i have never been to a psychic reading before.I have called a psychic on the phone years ago in my younger days. When i called a friend and i was drilling her trying to get some facts like what is my mom name, where was i born and the psychic even had to laugh because she could not tell me anything that noone else would know.

Well I've gone to two different palm readers. One was a scam from the word go, you could tell with how she said things. The other one though was very accurate. It was a bit creepy. He did my palm and my sisters at different times. She wasn't in the area while he did mine and vice versa so he couldn't read tells from either of us to help. It really surprised me some of the things he said. So yes there are some legitimate ones out there you just have to be careful. There are many out just for the money.

No, I wouldn't. I know people who do it now and again for fun which is okay. Unfortunately, I have one friend who I think takes it seriously and she does not have the money to burn. These pschic's are getting expensisve. Around here, they charge $25.00 per reading. I think it would be a better idea to buy lottery tickets than to waste the money on a psychic.

Years ago, some girls from the office and I had our palms read on our lunch hour, just on a lark. At the time, she told me that the guy I was with was not the great love of my life" (I was married to him and thought she was nuts) and also that she did not foresee any children in my future. Well, I did get divorced, years later, so I guess she was right about that part... but I have two beautiful daughters so I'm glad that statement was wrong. My husband said he always wanted to go to a psychic when he was younger... he wanted to know about his future. He believes that, because he was so messed up about what he wanted to do with his life, his career, etc., at that age, he felt that maybe a psychic would give him insight and direction. He's a bit older and more stable now so he doesn't hold the same interest for the psychic visit. I guess I worry about anything negative that I might find out. Although I've been told that, in some readings, they deliberately don't tell the clients very negative things. Is there any truth to that, for those of you "in the know"??

I have never done this before. I don't really believe in them but I think you can have fun with it. Sorry, I can't tell you what to expect when you go.

true psychic's do exist but are quite rare. and would'nt spend my hard earned money on just any psychic but again there is no way to find out who's genuine and whos not until you visit one. try this psychic out as people u know trust him / her but be sure not to answer leading questions that give information that can just be fed back to u as psychic knowledge when it is just a psychoanalysed material based on the info. u urself provided.

I've had a number of readings -- Astrological, Tarot cards, Numerology, Cards of Destiny, Palmistry and psychic. They are all fascinating!! The best for me so far has been a psychic. Of the two "real" readings I've had, one was a wash out because the reader and I knew each other. The other psychic I met at a seminar/workshop on developing your own psychic abilities (we all have them!). I later had a 'phone reading with her and it was excellent! Try not to give too much information while you're there. One word answers if possible -- otherwise you may just get superficial drek.
