I love coffee! Recently, I started painting with it with really beautiful results. I found the best coffee to use for painting is instant in which I will take 3 parts coffee to every 1 part of water. What you are doing here is making a kind of water color base. Use water as a tint to lighten your base as you paint. The result is a really beautiful sepia effect.

That is very clever! You can have beautiful paintings that smell wonderful too.
I remember in high school in my textiles class. We had to dye some fabrics using different resourses other than purchased fabric dyes. One of my samples was coffee. It was a lovely colour and I could use it for tie dying too. I was the only one in the class that used the idea. My teacher said it was a fantastic idea and very inventive.
Keep up the work. Maybe you will be able to share some of your paintings her on mylot in some of your posts or even your profile page.

I did try to add a picture to my original post, but for some reason it didn't show up. I will go ahead and change my profile picture so you can see one of my paintings.

What a cool idea. I had never heard of this, but I imagine it would be beautiful. I'll have to try it sometimes. I love coffee though, and I'm afraid that I'd drink all of my paint before I had the chance to create anything with it. LOL

Wow that's really awesome. My nephew is turning into quite the little artist at 8 yrs old. I will let my sister in law know and
she can let him try it.
Your rose is beautiful, what talent you have.
