I am a proud Indian and I love it the way it is, i would like to change a few things in my country but still India is the best. We should be proud of our country but we should also do something that will make the nation proud of us. Then the whole world ill accept that India is the best.

Ive proud feeling when I read this discussion. India is known for its democracy, for their culture, for the holistic apporach, for their philophy but at same time, dnt forget to see the other side of same coin. there is still long way to go, isn't it??

Am I proud to be an India? Damn sure I am.. What's unique about india is that we manage to assimitate everything that is thrown to us, and still retain our identity. Name any other country that has more than a thousand dialects, or a zillion different opinions (religion or otherwise), and still manage to be a democracy. We ar the country with the biggest and most successful democracy in the world. We are one of the earliest civilization in the world, with unparalleled contributions to literature and philosophy such as the Vedas, Gita, Mahabarata and Ramayana. We are a land of diverse cultures, languages and traditions whic co-exists peacefully and have a single nationalistic identity. India is a counrty that has many great scientists, philosophers, writers, artists such as Tagore, Ramanujan, Mother Teresa and so on.. So guys, Please be proud to be an Indian.
