I have been trying to get into the habit of cutting coupons to save money, but I always come up with the same problem. The coupons I get in the Sunday paper aren't for things that I normally purchase. I don't see how they save money. Am I missing something?

I totally agree. The other problem is even if its a product I might want, the coupon might only be for 25 cents off a product, or a $1 off if you buy 2. When I was in college I shopped for myself, and obviously I went through a lot less food than a family of 4. I found that the store version of an item (say Stop & Shop yogurt) was often cheaper than the name-brand even with the coupons. I agree with the comment to check manufacturer's websites for better deals.
