Well, as I hold a 10 star, I feel that I have done good work and have accomplished alot here on mylot. But that doesn't mean I am only looking for a high rated writer's threads to reply to. I think that the ones with the higher ratings can be an assett and offer good tips to those who are not doing so well.

I defiantely do think that these new rating stars will improve the quality of discussions. It will really spur people on to write better responses as they would not want to be labelled a spammer. I have already read many responses in which people have said that they will feel more motivated to get better ratings, due to this new implementation.

I don't think it makes much of a difference. I don't understand why my rating went from an 8 to a 9 in a matter of 7 days.

I think it will help in the long run, also maybe implement a bonus to your earnings by what type of rating you have.

I like the idea of the bonus. Honestly, everyone is here to earn money. At other forums the rating would help b/c they are there to make friends. If you want people to change the way they post here then you will have to give them money. I don't think a gold star will change much without offering an incentive.

Yes I believe it would change a lot of people views. First off, being that everyone can see the quality of your discussions...10 being very good and under 5 being rather on the low....I would agree with you also...

Probably not by a noticeable amount, but it will create stronger morale among the more frequent users.

yes. you are right. people might not notice the value of this new rule in mylot. members will create better responses and they will try harder to post better discussions as well. it's gonna be a better site then!

i haven't been in this site for 2 days.i just logged in here the past couple of days to answer a few questions like 4 or 5 of them. so, i did not notice the new rule. i just got surprised why there were stars appearing before each mylotter's usernames. but i think it's better this way. atleast people who are just here to make money and not respond well to discussions will realize that people know their performances through these stars.

I think the stars are a great idea, they will help with the quality of the discussions. Also people will try to do better, we all like to be rewarded, it goes back when we were kids in school and earned stars on our papers for doing good.

I think myLot is doing great with improving the site and making it more enjoyable to start discussions and the response we get. I think it will improve how people respond to discussions. Do you think we will get better pay for the star rating we have? I think that would help people start better discussions and respond better as well. How would you like for mylot to pay out in this way? I think the star rating will encourage people to improve their discussions and respond better than just being here to make a quick buck. MyLot is doing a great job.

I hope they do. Maybe it will weed out some of the users that post nonsense. I will start looking at everyone's stars too to see how their ranking is.

I think so. The higher the star rating of the user that started the discussion, will make the discussion more exciting.

this is what i understood from mylot guidelines. users with a user rating of less than 100 will not yet have myLot reputation myLot reputation is determined by the myLot community, not user It doesn’t mean that 8 stars means “good user” and 5 stars means “bad user” only indicate how active user are increase your reputation is by contributing quality topics, responses and comments and avoid breaking mylot rules!

Probably yes..! It shows the frequency of the user to mylot and the responses also increase by knowing the usage of mylot.....
