i doubt it will change our earnings, just helps us to find the people who obviously write good discussions and help us to avoid the rubbish ones. So i think its a good idea

Well I probably didn't read the alert thoroughly, but I didn't think it changed the payemnts. I think it is to encourage better topics/discussions, or to discourage those who think posting on line questions or jokes that really just take up space and don't add to the quality of the content here.
The ratings can tell you who might be worth responding to, or who might be good to add to your friends' list. Each person will have to decide how to use the information, I am already getting ideas on how to use it for myself.

i've never spammed other people's discussions, or response with a one-word answer, but i admit i never really care to upload photos on my profile or customize my profile very much. so do i have to feel discourage already by this 4-star reputation? it sort of discouraged me actually, to be honest..

no there is no need to uploads images in your profile and no need to costmize the profile,i think the reson of gating less rating that some gives -ve our responses and discussion.

It shouldn't. Your level and quality of participation is what determines which star you get and if you get a high star then you should be doing good in the earnings. It's just a way of showing how much quality you bring to the site.

I think this new star rating system will effect on our earning. You can read in the alert. The star rating show us about the contribution of the user in mylot. It showed how much you responded against discussion.

I believe what they meant by it was how well the responses we make are. The higher the number, the better. I think it's a really good idea. I'm not sure if it'll help with the pay out, but I'm not here for that anyway. I'm here to get advice, give advice, and just have fun! The rating tells you who has posted adequate posts and who hasn't. Someone with a higher number puts more into their responses than someone with a lower rating. I hope this helps, since it is new to us all.

Hey if the star system is to see which users have better responses or which is worthwhile reading shouldn't it be like 1 star is the best. lol. I don't know. Just wondering. Which is better. 1 or 10.

I didn't get the impression that the new star ratings were going to affect our earnings. It would be nice if we got paid more for being up near the top of the ratings, but I just don't think that that is the case *laugh* I have a feeling that our rating is determined by the users in that the more plus ratings we get, the higher our score is. There are probably other factors, too. I'm just guessing, really, since the Mylot bulletin didn't explain it that fully.

i think star rating doesn't effect our earning in anyway.its just a reputation of user.

but reputation of user can seen by all over the world, then if we have good reputation then probability for gating responses will also increases.

Mylot recently started the whole new ratings system that named as star ratings,i think user with more ratings gate more paid from every response and yser with less ratings paid lower for every response.
