My husband and I used to be huge House fans. I was in love with House's attitude and the amazing cases the doctor's handled. For some reason it is losing it's touch in my opinion. Any fans out there? Do you think the show has jumped the shark?

I have been a little thrown off by it this season, I still love the show... however I do not like the direction it is going in. It just seems so much more dark this time around. I don't like that they ended up attacking Dr. House, or making him look like an addict... I mean, he has always looked like an addict, but it was just kinda a hidden thing in the show that wasn't so focused on. Now his addiction seems to be the only thing the show plays on, and not so much the medical mysteries anymore. I am hoping that something happens here real quick, and it goes back in the direction that it used to.

You just said exactly how I have been feeling, except I didn't know it until I read this. lol It does feel like they are attacking House and that is probably why I don't like it. He's my boyfriend! Ok, not really but I tease my husband that he is. I don't like seeing him hurt like this.

That is so funny that you say that! My mom is always talking about how she is going to marry house and jokes about it a lot... well she just had a birthday last month and my aunt came over so excited to give my mom her present... my aunt hasn't gotten her anything but a card in years, so we were so interested to see what it was. She just kept smiling over and over again and my mom opened the present really slow and she just let out this huge laugh and covered the present. This made us even more interested in what is was, and she finally showed us. It was an autographed picture by Hugh Laurie, and my mom said it was by far one of the best gifts she has ever received. She said she sleeps with it on her nightstand so she can go to bed with him every night. She makes me laugh, she is such a funny lady. I was jealous of my aunt, she got a really good gift, I wish I had thought of it first! Haha.

I personally still love House. Right now, the show is much more about the man himself and his spiral downwards, and not so much about the medical cases. I can see why this might turn some viewers away, but since I'm fascinated by Dr. House, I'm finding this season compelling.

How can you stop loving House. He is great. I think that the stories continue to get better and better every season. The cases are starting to fizzle but House could never lose my attention unless they got rid of him. You have to get back into it.

Actually it kinda annoyed me as well, when they started focusing on House's addiction. I mean, c'mon, the man did a silly thing, unfornately to a police officer who actually took it too personal, but he does that all the time. However, it made me more interested on how this will turn out, since I knew that House will eventually outplay Tritter. I remember they had a similar situation in Season 1 where Chi McBride tries to takeover the hospital and wants to fire House. In the end, House won with a big help from his peers. House as the judge said in the last episode, is lucky enough to have better friends than he deserves. =)
