i like walmart for their prices.competitively less than any other stores.but we should have lot of patience to shop here.there wont be proper arrangement of items and they will be kept randomly and also we have wait in a loooooooooooong queue.

I don't shop at Wal-Mart. I am one of the most frugal people I know, but there are things more important than money. I don't agree with most of their business practices, and if I shop there, I would be supporting them.
Did you know that to some extent, folks shopping at Wal-Mart decide what everyone else can buy? Many large companies won't make a porduct if Wal-Mart won't buy it.

I'm curious as to what practices you are talking about. It would help if you'd clarify that.
Also most large companies won't make a product if they can't find a buyer for them. Whether it be Wal-Mart, Target, K-Mart, Sears etc. They need to have someone buy it otherwise what's the point in making it?

1) I didn't say if they can't find a buyer - I said if Wal-Mart won't buy it. E.g. KMart *and* Target *and* Sears may buy the product, but if Wal-Mart won't, they won't make it.
2) A more accurate statement on my part probably would have been, "I don't agree with a number of their business practices." A couple off the top of my head: They force manufacturers to sell to them at such low prices, the outsourcing of jobs overseas has accelerated greatly. This bugs me on a couple levels - a) Americans losing jobs (that were once actually located here) and b) Many of the workers who do these jobs don't get anywhere near a decent wage - even for their own country/economy.
In addition, I disagree with employing individuals at, say 34 hours a week so they don't have to pay benefits. I *understand* this from a bottom-line, business perspective, but I still don't think it's ethical. Wal-Mart employs more individuals on welfare than any other company in the US (if I recall correctly). So...ultimately, those low prices aren't so low, once your tax $$ have paid "wages" to Wal-Mart employees that WM won't.
I also want to clarify that I realize most large companies probably have some practices that are inethical. That's why I support local shops & individuals as much as possible. (E.g. farmer's market in season rather than large chain supermarkets).
Here are a couple of links that address some of these (Wal-MArt)issues in more depth:

Wal-Mart is OK, I guess. I don't often shop there, though we used to do practically all our food shopping at the Super Wal-Mart down the road. (We have both Super and regular Wal-Mart here in NH.)
Then again, there are a lot of other great stores around, too. I usually go to the supermarket for my groceries, and to other shops for other things. I don't actually end up at places like Wal-Mart or Target very often.
I like the little shops best, you tend to get better service in a smaller shop. Even the grocery store has better service, in my opinion, than Wal-Mart. I like Christmas Tree Shops best for super-discount stuff. They have better bargins, and the people there are a lot nicer. But it's not a big national store--there are very few CTS outside New England.

Yeah I think the better percentage of the population digs on Wal-Mart. I go there for nearly all of my household needs.

I love shopping at Wal-Mart. I can get so much there and save time and gas. I will admit lately for food shopping I have been hitting Dollar General Market first, it's new here and has some great prices but whatever I can't get there I then go to Wal-mart for. Since they are just down the road from each other it works out great.

I don't go to walmart often because it is about 25 miles away from my house. It is not practical to shop at walmart often. However I agree with you, it is a good store and the products they sell is cheap most of the time. Recently, I just bought a camera case made by samsonite for my digital camera.

yes walmart is a nice store you can just about get anything out of there for reasonable. After shopping there you probably do not need to shop else where.
