I wanted to know - how do you manage your friends here on Mylot?
In the beginning I accepted friend requests left & right. But many of the friendships seemed one way.
But thanks to the new rating star. I went and reviewed my friends list, or at least began reviewing it.
Here's what I'm doing, anyone with a star rating score LESS THAN OR EQUAL TO 5 bye, bye! It maybe harsh and I am sorry, but to manage so many friends on Mylot I am cutting down whose on my friend list to those of better quality posts.
Also, to not be unfair to those without a score because they have LESS THAN 100 posts, I am looking at 1) when you bacame a member (it is unreasonable to expect a week long member to have 100+ posts) and 2) when was the last time you logged in, if the last time a 4 month long member last signed in 3-4 months ago, that's been quite awhile & I don't expect them back anytime soon. Again bye, bye!
So if you notice I am no longer on your friends list & you fall in this category, you know why. I want more quality posts & to find those posts I am searching for more quality posting friends.
Also if you are not yet a mylot friend of mine & want to be, keep in mind these are things I'm looking at.

I really never thought about managing it i have people requesting to be my friends all the time and i never get any feed back, far as responding to my discussions.I dont get the chance to answer everybody discussions because sometimes its to many or just doesn't interet me,i usually answer new user, new discussions as well, pretty much anything that interest me.

I have found/ noticed that members who have better quality posts usually make better discussions. And I like discussions that make me think, so this will hopefully make it easier for me to respond to my friend & respond to discussions that can hold several peoples interest, not just my own.
Of course I don't respond to every discussion, by every friend, that would be a bit too much. I would never get off my computer. LOL
