I adore CSI Las Vegas and Miami but am not too keen on NY. Of the three CSI LV is the best. I love all types of police investigation shows. I have fun trying to mull over the evidence and picking the culprit....sometimes my instincts are right sometimes they are not. It's always amazing what technical science can do and to see how the investigators connect the dots to come to a conclusion. It certainly whets my appetite to watch more especially there is a wealth of information to be gained. Nice post.

YES, I like all of them, CSI, and CSI NY, and even CSI Miami (Except I can't stand David Caruso) but I love the technology and they way in which they go about solving the crimes. It's amazing what they can work with. If I was younger I would go to school to learn it in a heart-beat
Good Question thanks!

I'd been hoping to go to school to be a CSI actually before I really got into the show, then I just fell in love with the thought of it more. I know that real CSI's don't do half the stuff they do on the show, so I figured I wouldn't go to school for it, it wasn't as fun anymore. I think what attracts me is the fact that all of the stuff on the show could actually happen, the murders and such, and hopefully the real CSI's can solve the case just as good as Grissom and the rest.

I have been studing forensics for the past five years. I have never been to school, just tought myself. Last year I took a home study course and earned my certificate. It was the greatest feeling ever. I am the mom of three small kids and I feel it would take to much away from them to do the real thing. It would just be to much missed time with them, since forensics is 24/7. I watch as many of the shows as I can. Someday when my kids are older, I would like to go to school and be a CSI.

I'm fascinated by the science used to solve the crime. The methods and equipment they use along with just good hunches makes them (all the csi shows) my favorites. I also watch all of the cold case files and investigative shows on court t.v. It really makes me happy to see crimes that were 20 years ago, finally solved thanks to science. That wasn't a subject of interest for me when I was in school, but if I were starting out again, it just might be my career choice.

My g/f and I watch all three versions of CSI PLUS we watch NCIS.We both seem to like them as they expand our knowledge and we can see if we can "solve" things. When it first came out,CSI use to do many more special effects than now(probably due to costs).
All 4 shows have touches of humour, mystery, murder, mayhem, education and entertainment value.

I love, love, love CSI.
The solving of the mystery intrigues me. How everything comes together through the smallest little detail.
However, I went with my sons cub scout pack to our local crime lab for a field trip.
NOTHING like on television....not even vaguely close.
That being said I still love the shows entertainment value :)

I love to see the way the put the pieces of a puzzle together to solve a crime. It makes me wonder why there are so many unsolved crimes when they have all this technology. I also like the touch of humour they add to these shows. Watching Grissom and the ME sing over Danny Bonaduce's body was hilarious!

I have also learned a lot from CSI shows. It is also a great, interesting TV show to watch. I think that being a crime scene investigator is a really cool job and I would want to be one. I won't call it an avenue of knowledge because books and internet are better, from the television you can learn only what they want you to learn, but on the web you can learn everything you want to.

For me I love a mystery, I enjoy a challenge and the satisfaction of solving a problem. Since I was little I have always been intrigued with "whodunit's" and the why, how, and where of things. Crime Scene Investigating has come so far, so quickly with new technology, if I was younger and looking into a career path, being a Crime Scene Investigator would be in my top choices. But it also totally baffles me, the senseless crimes of murder that occur every hour of every day, I think too, that it would be wonderful to able to bring to justice those persons who have such a blatant disregard to human life. We don't have a tv anymore but when we did CSI was a regular view.

I like this show because of how they take you through each step of the procedure. They let the evidence guide them. They show you diffent ways to get evidence. The show is well writen. I like how there can be several ways to look at one crime but then there is one piece of evidence that tell you the whole truth. I learn something every time I watch the show myself.

I like trying to see who done it. The myster is why I watch and Gil Grisom makes it interesting. I like the way he make you think about every piece of evidence found. If the infestigators of real life would just take their time and let the evidence tell them what happened there would be less unsolved cases. I am sorry to say in real life the police get an idea of who did it and they don't change their mind no matter what the evidence says. I like CSI because they take you through the case step by step. They show you several ways it could have happened and then they add the one piece of eveidence that brings the who truth to light.
