I am not sure where you would get one in your country, we got ours from a pet store also. I will tell you this, a turtle is a great choice for a pet, especially if you have small children. They are easy to maintain, and they love bananas, just a tip. They will also eat canned dog food. Just never ever feed them lettuce, it is not good for them.
