boracay is commercialized nowadays, even though i haven't been there. many recommend bohol. also you can check the PNOC's 2007 wall calendar. there are many places here in the philippines that's yet to discover. happy trip!

yes, boracay is the best...we have one house near that beach (i mean not really near like you can see it but you will just travel 30mins compare to Manila). So I went there several times esp when I was small because Aklan is my Parents hometown. I'm planning to go there this vacation after taking a break from work here in Bahrain. I miss that island!

El Nido, Palawan was awesome. You can stay in town for the cheapest cottages but you have to take all the island hopping tours. The place has so many beaches, lagoons, everything was so nice when I went there last week. I miss it already.

ive been to boracay every now and then, but as far as i concern this past years boracay was very much crowded already, but hence then people still want to go to boracay coz of a lot of filipino artist wants to enjoy there vacation in boracay. but further now, i recommend staying in cebu. there are a lot of beautiful spots to go thru and a lot of resorts to stay with and much more cheaper than in boracay.
