Just imagine, all of a sudden if the earth loses the gravitation what will happen ?

The first thing that will happen if earth looses the gravitation all of a sudden is, the atmosphere will first totally escape out to the outer space and then water in the oceans and the seas will also find its dispersion to the outer space. As a result of this, the activities of the entire bio-sphere as well as the life process will cease and stop. Well, don't worry! This will never happen. Famous scientist Albert Einstein had told earlier, "God does not play dice with Nature." All, that happens now or at any time, is based on specific Natural laws, that is universal and fixed for this entire universe. Thanks.

What an imagination???? Is it possible for any mass to loose the property because of mass? But in imagination anything is possible.Right. What will haooen if Earth looses its gravity. The first thing which come in my mind is that we will loose the up & down dimension. We will not be bound to earth. We will be thrown away due to the centrifugal force which we will experience due to the rotation of Earth. If by any how we will attach to the Earth,it will be very difficult to survive. We will be living just in a Space Craft. The food will not go in to our stomach. We have to survive on direct food. The atmosphere will not exist on the earth. No oxygen, so life will be not there on the Earth. We can simply say that if Gravity ceases to be with earth all of a sudden, there will be no life form on earth. The simplest & laymann answer.Going to more detail,we will have different physical phenomenon taking place on Earth. We will be feeling as living in a Space Craft if we are able to survive on earth in any way, which is almost impossible as per me.

When I say gravitation, I remember one place in east Africa where on a steep up I saw bicycle need not be peddled, just it rolles up,a ball rolles up, but for coming down you need to apply force. I went there in my friend's Land Rower which we tried making neutral it rolled up.But for coming down we had to put it on gear. I felt this is as a strange phenomena.Could you tell what must be the reason ? Thanks for your comment.

To float in the air earth has to lose its gravitation force ? Thanks lol ?

if earth loses gravitation all will begin to float, people's hair would be very strange, like that ones of astronauts, maybe earth would be attracted from Sun gravitation and would burn fast. Anyway gravity is a property of mass. Mass would curve space-time (Einstein theory) to let all things being attracted where is that curve. Light too is swerve and deflected from mass and doesn't go in a linear way. This is a really interesting discussion!

Thanks for your physics depth.Good imaginations.Yes light also might deflect. Please be in touch with this thread for further interesting imaginations.

Their new calculations for the Earth's mass came from work that could establish the most precise measurement ever achieved of Isaac Newton's gravitational constant. According to the figures by Jens Gundlach and Stephen Merkowitz, Earth weighs in at 5.972 sextillion (5,972 followed by 18 zeroes) metric tons. Recent textbooks list the weight as 5.98 sextillion metric tons. Either way, that's about 1 trillion metric tons for each person on Earth. Put another way, 1 trillion metric tons is thought to be the total weight of all plant and animal life on the Earth's surface.

Thanks a lot for your comment.I am sure those who read it will have some benefit of gaining good knowledge on this topic.

This would depend on the make up of the item. The most common thing which would happen would be that people and objects would float around in the air, but wonder what would happen to the earth itself hey. the earth might fall out of its current orbit and be taken into another one.

Good imagination. Somebody must be really in control of this earth we live and the entire universe.

You mean besides a whole lot of physicists getting very confused?

The actual answer is that we all die ... the earth would loose it's atmosphere (which is bound to it by gravity) and we would all die from lack of air. It would take an impossible change in the laws of nature for this to happen.
