Bedwetting...any advice?

January 10, 2007 4:46am CST
I had my friends son over night for the first time at the weekend and he wet the bed...he's 5...same age as my own son. Just dealt with it at the time, cleaned him up etc, but when I told his mum she didn't seem surprised, little bit embarrased but not shocked. Luckily my son stayed asleep while sorting this as wouldn't him to make an issue of it, last thing they need is all their friends knowing and making him feel bad about it all. I think she needs some help with him, had a chat and there's no medical reason for him doing it but think he still does quite often, really want to help her but just don't know what to say, has anyone got any advice?

Hi Hun, I noticed this discussion didn't have any responses, so I went & looked it up. (I have a habit of looking thru my friends discussions & trying to answer the ones with no responses. Anyway, here's the website I found: http://aacap.org/page.ww?name=Bedwetting§ion=Facts+for+Families I hope it helps. P.S. since my youngest is 19, I don't remember how I handled bedwetting.
