Seperating Orchids????

I have an orchid that has grown a baby. I am not quite sure how to seperate them. They are competing for the same pot and the baby isn't doing well. SO I'd like to move it to a new pot. Does anyone know HOW to do this? By the way it is a common Moth type Orchid.

hi pix, its actually quite simple. prepare as similar pot as the one in which the mother plant is growing. then cut the baby orchid with maximum roots possible and plant in the new pot. it will not even wilt for a few days. thereafter it will lose afew or maybe all its leaves. don't panic even if bare stems are left. in time it will show new leaves and start growing. all the best. your love and care will do the rest.
