I always use the paper seat covers. Knowing how many butts have graced that throne I do not want to connect with what others have left behind.

In the public restroom, I prefer to choose the one with squatting pan rather than a toilet because then I don't come in contact with the toilet. But given no choice, I usually wipe the surface first eventhough it looks clean. Paper seat is great but if there is some 'leftover' wouldn't it absorb it?

Most if not all of the restrooms in the UK do not have paper seat covers provided. I do try hard not to use restrooms as most of them are dirty and disgusting and do not have toilet rolls. However if you go into stores and use their facilities they are much much cleaner.

not only do i use the paper seat covers but i also lay down toilet paper on top of them and sometimes i still squat over all of it, there are too many health reasons not to. I make my daughter do it as well, shes in the habit now of while were at home to do it at home. Its good that she stays on top of things like that.

I would never sit on a public toilet without putting one of those paper toilet covers or wiping it down with a wet wipe that has lysol or something that kills germs. Think about how many people come in there and use the toilets. And there is no way you can know how many of them have diseases. I often have wondered how many of them don't even bother to wash their hands after using the toilet. I try not to use the public toilets but sometimes when nature calls you don't have much choice. But take the time to make sure the toilets are clean. I always insure that.

First I try very hard to never use a public toilet. When I am forced to use one I wipe the seat and use a cover. If ther is no cover I use toilet paper or just hover. LOL Then I wash my hands and touch everything with my towel when leaving the restroom. there are more germs on the door handle leaving the restroom than any other place in a public toilet. Think of all the people and kids who do not wash their hands and have just used the bathroom. Then they reached for the door germs and all and left. Always keep that in mind.

No, but I have heard that you can use the new ones to dab the oil off your face instead of using those expensive pads from the make-up counter. Now there's a thought.

I would if they were available, but unfortunately they are a very rare commodity. I always try to avoid using public restrooms but in an emergency, I would use oodles and oodles of toilet paper to line the seat of the toilet before using it. The reason for this is, because I never know who might have been sitting there before me, or what germs they may have left behind them.

If the paper covers are there I use them if not I do what my great auntie taught me to do take the tp and place it on the back and sides of the seat. I tried not to use public bathrooms, I just like my own I guess. I saw the note you made about cell phones which I thought was kind of interesting because 98% of the time I would think that the germs on your cell phone are just that your germs and not 100 plus strangers. Also, I use the paper trick, because people who stand and use the toilet usually leave behind their splatters, yuckkkk and I am pretty sure even if they wipe down the seat they aren't are using antibacterial spray. :)

I do, I have often gone into restrooms where there is pee all over the toilet. Even if there is no pee there, someone could have wiped it down, it's so gross! If there's not seat covers available, I try my best to hang my rear over the toilet without touching the seat lol, that's getting harder as I get older!
