Given global warming, climate change generally, the ozone layer, the destruction of the rain forest, the melting icecaps, not to mention the never-ending cycle of war going on, do you think this planet stands a chance?
For every person I hear saying they are recycling everything in sight, worrying about their carbon footbprint etc, I hear someone else saying they don't care at all what happens to the planet because, after all, they'll be dead by the time it happens.
Do you believe there's any hope of saving Earth, or is it really too late? Do we simply not have enough invested to really worry about it? Shouldn't we be taking personal responsibility as well as expecting governments to do something about the companies that are rapidly destroying the environment with pollution, waste and indifference?

I think that it is absolutely correct that our planet will be totally finished in 250 years. The climate is becoming so bad and the pollution is increasing day by day. Another thing is global warming. The depletion of ozone is taking place even at faster rate then ever before

I hope that in 250 yrs we will have gotten smart enough to have eliminated wars, and have taken care of the other global problems that we are plagued with today. We will know that it's too late when a nuclear war has started, and all of the missles are hitting the earth. But I hope to god that it doesn't happen. We are, as a people, already to make a difference in the way that things are changing, but it's going to have to be done more urgently, if things are going to be better in our lifetime.
