What you resolve to do .....

We are nearly a month through 2007 already. This year I am returning to where I spend most of my childhood for a few weeks to see how much it has changed since that time. It is now over 30 years since I was last in that district but it will give me a chance to show my husband where I lived as a child and teenager and grew up. I think that will put some things to rest, i.e. I am much better off living where I choose rather than returning to where I grew up, and that will certainly make me a better person. As we age, we tend to look back on many things, often through rose coloured glasses. Although that isn't the case with me, some friends I grew up with and am still in contact with think I should return there. It is lovely that they would like me to live back there but they also have to see that my life is different to theirs. I do not desperately feel the need to return there for any other reason than to see some of my old friends. At the same time, it will be interesting to see the changes that I know have taken place. All in all I think it will make me a better person than I am right now.
