Does anyone still using a filmed camera? why not used a digital camera for more convenient options and easy to adjust settings? Do you think there are advatages that filmed camera can still offer that cannot be done on digital cam?

I still use film rarely, when it's something I know I'll want to have prints on and just because it's fun to focus the pictures yourself and stuff. But mostly, I'll always prefer digital if I could only have one or the other. One thing someone mentioned to me, that can be done on film but not digital (I mean, without PhotoShop, just in the camera), is that if you don't advance film, you can take a picture over a picture. But with digital, you can't do that in camera. But that isn't so cool that it prevents me from using digital. I've never even done that with film because I couldn't see a reason for it.

I am a big time Didital Camera person. However there is a market share for film that digital may never replace. That is the single use cameras. This past weekend I was in Las Vegas and the number of digital cameras was overwheleming. However ther were may people who had a single use film camera for the weekend and were taking pictures with them. People who just want a few pictures to remember their trip will find it too expensive to buy adigital camera of the quality of a disposable film camera. I have used a disposable film camera when my family went rafting. I was able to buy a waterproof camera for $7.00 and didn't have to worry about damage to my good digital cameras.

another great thing about digital camera is that the technology comes out with a light weigthed one, comes in different colors which is very stylish and it also has the quality that most professional camera has.. great right.....

It's cheaper to get a film camera that does a lot than to get a digital camera that does a lot. That's pretty much the only advantage. Film costs money though, so in the long run it might actually cost more.

I still would like to use fully manual SLR film camera like Canon AE1. It gives a sense of accomplishment if you get desired result out of it. While digital camera you can get carried away with the reasonable results and feel happy.

I stopped using a filmed camera all together..For a while the digital was great for putting pictures right onto to your pc and mailing them out to freinds and family but the filmed camera still had the better quality prints..Not any more...Now you can print pictures right from your digital camera and the quality is excellent..You also can edit the pictures before printing them which is a great thing to. I take my digital camera everywhere..And have more pictures now than I have....It's just so easy and convienant... Taking and printing pictures are also less expensive now with a digital camera.. I dont miss the old days of using filmed camera, getting the pictures developed at a lab only to find out the shot you wanted didnt come out..With a digital camera you see the result instantly so you know when you may need to reshoot... Over the last few years the price of a digital camera has really come down too making it affordable for most people to own a decent quality camera...
