how to reboot the computer? plz help me

just get a bootable cd, insert it in the drive and restart the system and follow the instructions. so simple.

I think you need to change your windows to other windows quietly old, but still its not bad. I prefer the win XP or, win2000 or others... To Format your Computer you need a bootable disc or bootable windows... then it will read, from that there's an instruction you can follow now... that's it... i hope that i can help...

Are you sure about your decision? Formatting means to close and clean 100% softwares which you had installed in your past. With formatting you are going to lose all your files and softwares. You should first think about these things. Then you must decide about upgrading or repeating with your old win 98. I suggest you to follow other mylot users who has responded here. u can format in two ways they are format from a bootable cd rom or from floppydisk may be ur computer is old but try it by format command

insert Cd, boot from CD, then folow the instructions to format and reload the OS

Right now I am having problems with my spacebar on my laptop. As far as rebooting your computer, what I usually do is turn it off, then turn it right back on again. you could also try to disconnect all of the cables and at the same time remove the battery.

Get a bootable windows 98 or XP disk. Boot from it by selecting the first boot device in your bios as the cdrom drive. Select boot with cdrom support in case of win 98 cd. This will bootup dos, then type the command format c: if c is the drive you want to format. Mind you it will erase all data. then give the command setup while in the cd drive and windows 98 installation will begin. In case of windows xp it will automatically start up the installation without booting into dos. during the installation you can create delete and format partitions. the instruction will be given on how to do that during the setup. Any doubts feel free to ask.

to format is easy .. just reboot your system to msdos ... type this command : format c:/s .. all is done then U should install your OS win 98 again .. don't forget to prepare all the drivers (vga, soundcard, etc) and also prepare all your programs to install ...
