No one shares my Joy...

Bella (R) and Shadow (L) 3wks - This is Bella and her brother Shadow napping after trying thier first meal of turkey and rice. Isn't Bella just so cute with her little tongue out!! They are purebred Chihuahuas.

Have you ever been so excited about something and no one else really cares? I am waiting for my new Chihuahua puppy "Bella" to be old enough to come home. She is now almost 4 weeks. I just got pictures of her and her brother "Shadow" after eating thier first real food. I am so excited about getting her and no one I know really cares. They think I am silly for wondering how she is all the time, if she's growing well, if she will be big enough to breed, etc. What I get from most of the people I know.. "ya, it's a dog mari, no big deal"So I decided pooh to them I will share my Joy with my new found friends at Mylot. How do you share your joy in a case like this? Check my profile for other discussions and pictures. Thanks

Oh don't you just want to pick those little guys up and snuggle them into your cheek. I love little dogs. If I could have one, it would be a smaller one. My husband loves the big dogs, but I know that if we had one he would complain about the hair and the messes a big dog makes, and also the care involved. Little dogs bring less mess. They are adorable.

Oh yes, I wish I could. The breeder won't allow them to be held until after their shots. So since it's a 2 hour drive to her house, I probably won't get to hold Bella until I pick her up. That won't be until 12-14 wks old because she is so small. :(

I think that you have found one good place to share your joy, here at Mylot! ^_^ I am really excited for you! I can't wait for your dog to be old enough for you to have her at home with you finally ^_^ ^_^ I know, I too get extremely excited about things and it makes me feel a bit depressed when my friends don't respond with the same enthusiasm. Enthusiasm makes me happier than most other things in life! *laugh* So here is some enthusiasm for you, lol!! I love dogs, they are my favorite animals on earth, and I wish you all the best with your new puppy! ^_^ ^_^

Oh wow, I'm excited for you!! I LOVE animals and I completly understand. They are like getting a new child LOL. I think Bella and Shadow are very cute. I would recommend joining a Yahoo group for people who love dogs. Then you can share away with people who will truly understand your joy. Enjoy your new babies. It sounds like you will be a wonderful owner to them. I wish more people treasured their animals so much.

Pepi - My Male Chihuahua
Oh I am so excited for you. I wish I had more. I have three chihuahuas and adore them all. My avatar (Schatzie) is one and Pepi is another. I could sleep the night before I was to get him, he is now almost 9 months old.

the real definition of friend is a person with whom u can share all ur sorrows and happiness..n the cause for tat hardly matters....wht matters is impulse from ur side n response frm ur partner side....... n if u really got a good frnd u need not ask how to share ur joys n sorrows..so my advice to u is tat first of all make a very good frnd n u ll get all ur answers...

I love puppies! Plus I am the same way you are I am suposed to be getting a kitten soon and everyone thinks I'm crazy because I am excited. To them it's just another animal but to me it's something or someone else to love and take care of and that can love me also. Some people don't share our joy but so be it. I have enough for them and me.lol I think your Bella is just a cutsie and so adorable. I have a miniture dalmation/american pitt bull mix she is a small dog and very cute too. Well I hope that you will be able to bring baby Bella home soon so you can give her lots of love and spoil her rotten.lol

Mari, congratulations. Who cares what they think. You are a true animal lover, and they aren't. Soon you will be a mama to your baby when it arrives. I'm glad you are the way you are, and your new pup will be bless to have such a caring mama.

Seriously, I wouldn't have to think if anyone really cares or know how I really feel about anything. No one really understands your feelings but yourself. It's just like saying, "Oh you're so fat!" and then you get offended and stop eating and end up dropping so much weight because of someone making a bad remark. Only you can judge yourself and know how you truly feel about something. If you want attention and not getting that, that's because you're just being annoying and people don't like that. It gets old and they're tired of hearing it when you constantly repeating yourself. I know how anxious you are to have your puppy coming home. I would be so anxious myself too. I'm sure that once your puppy arrives, that will be your only true friend that will share joy with you and basically do everything with you. Once you have that joy, you wouldn't care what other thinks or say. Remember that the only person that can make you happy is yourself. It's what you make out of life and how you would live it. Make the best out of it and don't worry about what others think or feel.

Thanks for your response, obviously you have taken me for someone who gives a care...just kidding..lol But seriously, I'm not lookiing for any attention, it's just a fact that most of my friends and family don't care much for animals. It's not that I've been going on and on about it. They tell me this at first mention of a new pet. I would also like to add.. for those that don't know me.. The last thing in the world that bothers me is what other people think of me and my world... I have never once for even a minute worried about what others think of me. Don't get me wrong though, I do value other peoples opinions. Again though, thanks for trying to help. I do appreciate your response.

I met someone like that once, she had never had a pet as a child and could not understand why I was hauling a cat from California to Oklahoma, while my husband was overseas. She (the cat) was my family at that time. The other person was just someone who had agreed to share travel expenses so she could get home from college. It was my car, for pete's sake! I find on myLot one of the quickest ways to get responses to a discussion is to post about animals. "smiles"

I know how you feel. Also want to say Congrats on the new baby that will be coming in 2 wks. What a beautiful name. Those same people that said " ya, it's a dog Mari, no big deal" will be wanting puppies, when Miss Bella has puppys of her own. I think if you paid or put a down payment on her. You should wondering if she's ok, is she healthy, etc. Hope to see more pictures when you bring her home.

You're probably right, my good friend in Washington will anyway. She likes to be all talk, but she'll be the first one that wants a puppy. I get regular updates from the breeder and pics. so that's nice.

Good luck with your new household member. I think it is great that you are getting a dog that you actually want! It is a joy, like an adoption, only different! LOL Maybe you should change her name - to JOY!

I know how frustrating it can get when you want to shout to the world how happy you are and no one cares. With a situation like this, what I often do is write it down instead or post it on a public journal. Or something similar to what you have done, (sharing it to mylot). As for your new baby, congratulations. I know you are really thrilled with it. I've been wanting to have a new pup as well, my dog is now about 6 yrs old. I miss little cuddly ones.

I love dogs, but when my dog,Dojabi, gave birth to puppies each time, many people came and ask for her puppies. It is the third time I gave the puppies to people. There was one of seven puppies, which had got 11 fingers, it means bring good luck to the family. But some one from other country to ask, I also gave it free to him.

It's realy hard to cope with being alone in joy than sorrow. The thing your thoughts are specific and you are realy different from others.
