I am not on about everyone but there are so many People that have Pets and then decide they don't want them and what do they do
They set them out
Can someone here figure it out why because as far as I am concerned there is no reason at all for it

People are impulsive, or they see certain pets as status symbols or just cool pets. I'm a big fan of exotic pets, like birds and reptiles. Well, too many people buy these kinds of pets because they are cool, only to find out they require special care and diets that they would rather not deal with. I have a ton of pets, and some if not most of them are rescues or adoptions of some sort, so I guess I have so many pets because of the people that you talk about that get pets and then don't want them. All 4 of my dogs are rescues or adoptions. A couple of my birds are rescues. I agree, people should take pet ownership more seriously, god knows I do. People should buy less animals, because there are plenty of good dogs and cats, for example, that are up for adoption.

I agree people are impulsive and sometimes don't think things through. Pets are a huge responsibility, they require medical care, daily care, attention, training etc. in many ways making the decision to have a pet is the same as making the decision to have a child. You should ask yourself, why you want the pet, can you afford the pet, are you capable of providing the daily and medical care for the pet etc, etc. It is too bad that people when they find out that it's just too much for them or they are bored or what every reason they no longer want the pet, that some won't, don't go the extra mile and find homes or put up for adoption instead of leaving them to fend for themselves. It makes me sad when I see a beautiful animal that has just been dumped. Humans could be so hard and irresponsible.

for me the reason of having pets is for pleasure and make frineds. I think pets could be the best friend for us.More than human. But maybe we can make money from them too....Lol.
like for example ... you can sell them, you can teach them how to make money. like for monkey, horse...etc.

I think a person should think long and hard before getting a pet because they are a lot of responsibility just like kids. They deserve to be loved so if you are not up to the challenge then I think you should just not get a pet. I think they have feelings and how would it make you feel if you were allowed to live somewhere until the person grew tired of you? This is not directed at you just at the question you asked. I love animals and I think they deserve respect as well.

It makes me really sad to think that people out there dump their pets when they don't want them anymore. Having pets is an enormous responsibility, akin to having children I would think. They shouldn't be bought on a whim. When considering a pet it would be wise to choose one that fits in with your lifestyle. For example if you are an elderly housebound person, it's no use getting a border collie as they need massive amounts of exercise. Rather get a little lap doggie. I wish I could rescue and love every abandoned pet. How must they feel when they are no longer wanted and end up in the pound or worse. People should thing for a long time about making this commitment.

Maybe those pet owners are really busy and they have no time to take care of the pets. Or maybe they are going on a long trip and taking a pet is not allowed. Also, if there is someone in their house hold is allergic to the pet.

i think everyone before they want to have a pet for their own, they must decide or they must think are they can keep the pet and don't want to harm them. They must think because pet is also a living thing, a creature that was created by god. you know it can move, eat, drink and they have heart for sure. so i think you must think carefully before you decide to have a pet. if you hurt your pet it mean you hurt your creator it is the same as human...
