hey guys...how many of u really believe saddam deserved to die....well could a life sentence not have sufficed....did we not make him a martyr in the eyes of those whom we wish to eliminate...moreover..i feel death sentence is for the rarest of the rare crimes committed by a person himself...he did not kill anyone himself...at best he signed the death warrants...so does a judge in any country as long as he is convinced that his jury wants it that way...a lot of freedom fighters get hung in countries struggling for independence....we had ours here in india while we were under the british rule...we consider all those ppl hung by the orders of the british monarch as martyrs now that we have gained independence...does the british queen deserve to be tried and hung for having ordered the freedom fighters on India to death sentences..... well guys give it a thought...i just hope the haste with which the justice (or shld i say injustice)was done and punishment executed, does not give rise to another laden in the making somewhere in Iraq
