Arranged marriages

Am I alone? I think that arranged marriages do have some good points! You don't have to date, you have a spouse without all of the drama. I know it has some downsides as well. What do you think?

I am not sure if I do or not. I am just really pissed at my late husband for making me single again! I HATE dating!

My marriage too was an arranged one and we have had a wonderful relatinship. The only thing i would like to suggest is that one should be carefull enough to analyse the boys family members apart from the boy as they can prove to be a neausance.

My marriage was a love marriage. He turned into a stranger. I am widowed and just thought I would start this conversaton. I like what you said about the family. I should have paid more attention to how husband's family treated each other.

I think that in some cultures an arranged marriage may be an ok thing. That they dont have the same culture we do. I think that if that is all they know then they may be happy at it. I do think they have a LOWER divorce rate. They are married and thats it.
