residents of kolkata are generally bengalis and their first language is bengali. modern bengali language took it's shape in the hands of pandit iswar chandra vidyasagar, a great educationist. i am a bengali, living in kolkata that is a great place of interest to the foreigners. macher jhol vaat is the main food here. wanna taste it? come here to make a visit. kolkata welcomes you.

You are always welcome to Kolkata previously known as Calcutta. It's a nice place for shopping too. In the time of Durga Puja, you will enjoy a lot. It's the greatest festival of the Bengalis'. Come and enjoy! And never forget to taste the Macher Jhol Vaat, Luchi Cholar Daal, Khichuri.....the famous Bengali foods.
