veils and women

why wear them, i think it looks silly,do you have beards or somthing to hide,if you have bad acne there are creams for it,you dont have to hide

They wear veil because they said it is necessary to prevent from eve teasing lol!!! Does it really stop eve teasing?

Catholic has ceremonial veils, nun and also mormon women wear veil. Maybe it's just following tradition or for religion purpose. For muslim woman it identifies the woman as a muslim, yet it is not just a symbol or tradition. For me it is an attitude, a way of thinking and a behavior. I live in tropical country and wear veil and it doesn't bother me at all. Well I don't have beards or bad acne like you think ^-^

In some cultures, veils are worn for religious or other cultural reasons. While I agree that a woman is more attractive if you can see her face, it also makes sense that this would be culturally normal in some places. Some people from tropical climates might wonder why people wear clothes at all!
