Hi,
I thought it would be a good idead to start a thread on the topic of bank accounts and the interest they are paying on your savings.
To kick off - I have an account with Westpac (in Australia) and they give me an online savings account (maxi direct)linked to my everyday account which pays 5.25% interest p.a. on whatever balance is in the account.
I also have another savings account with westpac which pays a higher rate of 6.3% but to get it you have to make at least one deposit and no withdrawals each month, so its no good if you put money in and out regularly, or even if you just want to make one big deposit, but its good for regular savings plans.
I also have an account in the UK with Nationwide, and they pay 5.05% for their 'e-savings' account. They also have a 1 year 'e-bond' which pays 5.4% but your money is then locked away for 1 year.
Has anyone else found any good fixed interest savings accounts?

I am not sure about other countries, but in US one has several options of high interest savings accounts. If anyone needs to sign up he/she can privately message me. I have a bank account which pays 25$ for signing and has a high interest rate. Mention your full name and email in the message.
