Both are important With both of the gender's effort, children are born! Women if being a homemaker are the guiders for children and men are usually the inspiration as they earn give financial support! Moral support is given by women so both are Equally important!

Both are equally important in child rearing, but I think more and more it falls upon the woman to handle all things. Maybe this is because the husband has to work a lot of hours to pay the bills. Or sometimes this is because the father isn't around - there are a lot of single parent families.
