What do you plan to do with the money if you get a tax return

So what do you plan on doing with your tax return.
my wife and I are debating a few things..we definately want to find a new house to rent. we need a new car, and have tons of bills that need to get paid off...we are still doing our taxes and arent sure how much we will get ...its a few thousand I know that. and we desperately need the money.

i personally plan on paying off my past due bills. i acutally started this same conversation about two weeks ago. people always spend their tax money on stupid stuff and then spend the rest of the year conplaining about not being able to pay off old bills. imagine that. if i have enough money left over though i plan on trying to get my '79 el camino running better and getting my girlfriend a new set of tires.

one of my very first cars was an elcamino, I know we arent gonna go blow any of it ....we are too stressed and strapped for money...I just got back to work this week for the first time in two months.. I hurt my shoulder and was not able to work..and I am the only one working ..so yeah no chance of blowing it. sorry didnt know you posted same discussion. im not on much ..

Hope we will get some thousands back.We planned for a visit to our native place.it will take mostly all the returns and we have to spend some more also.If due to unavoidable circumstances we miss this trip then we planned to buy a new car.Mostly i think the first will happen.

I am hoping to get enough money to finish the bedroom I started building in the basement for my daughter. That way she can stop sharing with her brother. I need to put in an eggress window, a door, and a heat and cold vent. Wish me luck.

I plan on using some of the money to go to my graduation. The rest of the money I plan on saving for a rainy day.

Wow...I know I won't be getting anywhere near that amount back in a refund. But with the refund I get, I'd like to fix my car. And if I have any left...get a large iced coffee- I miss having that!

Same here, we need it as well!
We will use it as we always do. Pay off all the Doctor and credit card bills. Then with what is left, most likely use it for House repairs. We do try to buy the girls one thing at least from it. This year we are going to get them a nice desk for their home work.
