I'm sure you have noticed there are now 55,900 members here in MyLot. This means there are thousands of discussions floating around. Some of them are interesting, but the majority are either repeats or nonsense. Will you burn out in MyLot? Will we all just get sick of this and leave? Or will you stick it out since you can make money?

But, we must wait, my dear friend, and increase the quality of our topics more & more.

Good question, I think I will stick around because I like it here. Among all the silly and stupid questions there are good, interesting topics. You just need to dig around a bit! But only time will tell, I don't know if I'm destined to stay here for ever..lol

I'll stick it out. As you said some of the discussions are interesting. The repeats and nonsense ones are ignored by me. They do say you learn something new every day and this is true for me at mylot. Sometimes some of the answers really have me thinking.

I think that there will come a point when it will come down to that very decision. Mylot's focus right now is to get people focusing on new discussions. There seems to be little focus on maintaining discussions and almost no reason to return to discussions from weeks ago. This is fine for right now as they are still trying to build up users to the site. However, at some point people are going to want to see some type of recognition for their efforts other than just money.
People will want a better way to search through discussions and a complete overhaul of the way discussions are tracked and monitored. I think that once people have put so much into this site, it they don't get these things out of it, then they will just leave, despite the money.

Maybe there can be a better way to categorize discussions so more people can have access to them. Or a function that could send you user profiles if you share interests. You're right about old discussions. If nobody goes through 3 month old discussions maybe they should be deleted.

Yes there are a lot of repeats and nonsense but spending 8 hours on here, I've seen that the 55,900++ members really haven't written alot. I've only been here 4 days and sometimes I'm inspired to write, sometimes I'm bored... I just don't stress it. I write when I want, I read when I can't think... or sleep. I'll stick around, it's just like Yahoo Answers, only not that busy yet.
