I don't read many books and the ones I remember enjoying are little kid books since I used to read a lot in grade school. Out ot the books I've read that have literary merit my two favorites are probably To Kill A Mockingbird and my all-time favorite book of literary merit: The Brothers Karamazov by Fydor Dostoevsky. I guess I pick that book because it is considerred to be the greatest book ever written (by some) and it makes me sound smart since it's 963 pages. My main complaint was it was too short. That sounds crazy but the first 600 pages don't have much happening and then a ton happens the last few hundred pages and it seems a little rushed. I'm now reading (or about to at least) Don Quijote in my Spanish class at UCLA. The book will be read in Spanish and I think it's the greatest book ever written although I've never read it. We'll see if I still think that after I read it.
