There are so many ways to save money, although I do not know your situation so here are some ideas....
1. How about save you money from your posting here and do not touch!!!
2. Can be hard but put a percentage of your money earned into and interest bearing savings account, if 10% is too hard, start smaller. When you don't miss that let say 5%, hike it up to 10% or even 7% if 10 is too much!
3. Are you a coupon clipper? The money you save clipping coupons and using them, take the money out and put in savings or container you can not touch!
4. When writing checks, always round out to the even dollar amount in your checkbook register. It the check was already and even amount or closer than a nickle, such as $9.95, I would round to $11. You will have to train yourself to think that the extra cushion is not there, worked for us. We did this to save for Christmas time and had over $800 extra in our checking account!
5. Many banks, at least in this area have savings plans and/or holiday accounts. You let the bank taka a certain amount out once a week, bi-weekly or monthly in to the account. You are unable to touch the account for a certain time period or you lose all interest.
6. Or if you read my last posting about what is in your purse...lol Let all you money and change fall to the bottom of your purse and don't go looking for it!
7. Do you have a habit habit such as swearing, biting nails, smoking, drink to much pop/soda? Everytime you do one of those things, pay $1 to someone you trust or into a container you can not touch. Not only will you be saving up money, you just may break a habit you haven't been able to yet!
8. Many time we do not think and spend money for un-needed items. Let say you just love that pair of shoes on the clearance rack, but you already have 25 pairs of shoes at home...why spend the money. The money you just saved from not buying those shoes? You guessed...Save it!
9. Sometimes when shopping compare prices, even of off brands. Do you really think if you are making a casserole you would know the difference of a Cambells brand to a store brand...likely not! You may have only saved yourself a dime or quarter, but the add up faster than you think!
10. Do you stop have have the coffee from the coffee shop? Eat out? Make your own meals, bring your own coffee! Each time you do not stop to eat or get coffee or the snacks at expensive vending machines, hide and save that money.
Ok here are a few of my ideas, there are many more options out there. Just look around, take a look at your habits, ask others and decide what will work best for you. You know yourself best! Before you know it you will be a pro at saving!

set aside a certin amoutn every time you get paid, 5, 10, 20...anything, either place it in a savings account or you can put it in a locked box or a savings account, but some savings accounts have a minimum, so sometimes its not always a wise choice yet.
keep your change....change can add up. put all your lose change and put it in jar or bank. when it gets full, cash it out...you'll be amazed on how much it actually is.
