Downloading movies

When you try to download do you start at the top of the search results? The items at the top have the most locations and are much quicker to download...there will generally be a number next to the title telling you how many locations they are in. Once you start to get towards the bottom of the list then you are more likely to get that sources message (it's pretty much saying that the file you are looking for isn't in enough locations for limewire to gather enough information for you to download - if that makes sense)...

Yeah, I always start at the top. That's the problem. It will say over 100 sources, but then give me that message. And it seems like it is happening on all the movies I try.

Sarah, you may also have to disable your firewall if it is turned on, I find this helps with getting better results.

Thanks for all the info!! I had heard of torrents before, but I wasn't really sure of what they were and how to use them. Now I have a pretty good idea. I've been using p2p and I always have the problem of not finding the movies that I want. I'm hoping this works out better for me. Thank again!

Well, I keep my Norton anti-virus updated, so hopefully that will keep me protected from viruses.

I've been trying to figure out how to use torrents, but I can't get it to download. I'm going to keep trying, but hopefully I can find something soon! lol.

I actually cam e across this by mistake, I was tempted to upgrade through the pay method, then one night I noticed that just about every program you search brings up a Limewire link, then I got to thinking, that when you download Lime wire for the first time it searches your computer for files to share, so this being the case someone out there must have Limewire pro still in there share folder, and sure enough there are thousands of members that share limewire pro as a full download and it is free. I was really blown away that Lime wire has not caught on to the fact that they are litterally giving away it's pro addition.

Yeah, that is why I thought it was wierd. Oh well, I am downloading it now, so I'll see if that works. lol. I'm glad I never paid for the upgrade.

Oooohhh. That makes sense. haha. I wonder how many people pay for the upgrade rather than just download it? lol.

Yeah, that could be a reason why. I had Morpheus, too, and then I downloaded LimeWire because Morpheus started acting like this. The same with Ares. I don't know why?

I find Kazaa has way to many problems with spyware and trojans, I personally never had any luck with it.

I have tried Bit Torrents, with these I found they are way to slow, and that a lot of the time you cannot even download files unless your share rate is high, if you do not have a lot of files to share the downloads are next to impossible.

welll thats true.....kazaa do have the threat of trojans....for that u shud download carefully and ur pc shud have an antivrus.....welll da bit torrent software is bitlord....try for BITLORD...

I've tried Ares before and it didn't work for me that well. Limewire works fine for music, it's just movies that I am having a hard time downloading.

I've heard of other people talk about this. How do I download movies from newsgroups??

I am trying torrents, but I can't seem to get it to download. I guess I'll have to mess around with it some more, but I go to the download site and I see the file name in the torrent program, but the download never starts. Oh well, I'll just have to get it figured out. Thanks!
