Protecting you and your family within your own home....What do you Think?

It really scares me to think that there are people out there that are gutsy enough to try and enter the home for only one reason and that is to harm. I read so much about people being charged for defending there home, property and family in such situations. Being charged for assault ect to me is so wrong. If someone got into my home that i didnt know..only means to me that they are there to steal or harm. My hubby often says if someone was in our home to cause some sort of harm... he would do what ever he had to do... and that he would be prepared to go to jail for it..in order to protect his family and or property. Have you ever had someone break into your home whilst you being there? what force did you use? and what was the outcome? I beleive we have the right to assault a person that is within my home/property in order to protect... do you think the same? or do you disagree? Mind you we are not violent people and do not condone to violence...but our home is our "Safety Zone" our personal space...
