Why Can't We Just Get Rid Of Religion?

Well for most of my life I would lay in my bed, say my prayers, and then go to sleep. Now though I have come to realize that religion is just one giant made up fantasy. I guess it lets people believe in something; gives them a reason to live. Why can't we just realize that there is no man in the clouds, directing out lives. Why can't we ever give ourselves the credit for the good things in our lives. Seems to me religion only starts wars and is only used to control people through fear of going to hell. If someone is religious, thats ok with me. Just if you are into a religion, don't try and push it onto me. Anyone else feel the same? Maybe I am just rambling because i'm overly tired lol.

I'm hard up to type what I have to say here and when I posted, it was not registered; instead, I received the prohibition that only those who have 500 and above can paste when I did not paste any - I typed here, every single letter of it. Just try this if it receives the same prohibition, if it goes then sorry for this is not supposed to be my reply.

I am a follower hindu religion. I agree with you that just because i belong to a particular religion that i should impose it on others. Hinduisam was like the culture of my country until some selfish people gave it the stamp of a religion and guided its followers into fights with others for their own gains. Thats the case with the majority of the religions out there and the problems they create. Nowadays religion has become the most powerful tools of terrorists and politicians alike.
